It seems that the swine flu is causing unprecedented amounts of illness in early fall, with 11 more children dying in the past week. News reports quoting other sources share that less vaccines than expected will be ready by the end of the month. Over 80 children who died since the new swine flu arose last spring, 43 of those deaths were reported in September and early October.
We are soon entering into the winter months and the season when the flu hits many people. With the potential of the swine flu adding to the regular flu season we may see a dramatic rise in this situation. The sad part is that children are extremely vulnerable to not only the flu, but the swine flu. I can only imagine how this could potentially spread through our schools, day cares and other everyday life situations regarding children.
