The atoning blood of Jesus continues to cleanse you all the time because you are His. You are not cleansed just by verbal confession because your lips can say words you don’t mean. True confession comes from the heart where your sincere desire is to please Him.
God loves you so much that He wants you to know you don’t have to live in fear of failure in word, thought or deed. When little things distract you, a little temper rises or a bad attitude creeps in, and you forget to ask God’s forgiveness for it, He looks at your heart and your intentions. You are justified under the new law because of what Jesus did when He died for you, and that precious blood continues to cleanse as long as you want to stay under the covering God provided.
